The GAUDI Cosmic Dub Trio, is the new band project by highly regarded musician/producer Gaudi. With over 3.000 live gigs performed in the last three decades, most of which conducted as a solo artist, Gaudi has touched every continent, playing from festival main stages to slick city clubs.
With his recent Grammy Award nomination for production works on Steel Pulse’s latest album and multiple live shows as a keyboardist with them, Gaudi has rightly earned his reputation as esteemed multi-instrumentalist and his place on the “must-see-live” list.

As a musician and dub-master, he regularly performs with live acts such as The Orb, African Head Charge, Deep Forest, Steel Pulse and Don Letts, with which he plays piano, theremin, synthesizers and tape echoes, with the addition of dub vocals through his much treasured analogue equipment. Gaudi’s musical performance roots back in the 80’s with his cross-over sound of reggae, electronica and psychedelic dub, developed then throughout the 90’s, until the 00’s, when with his live band created a richer and infectious “bass-driven sound” captivating the electronic festival scene and performing at some of the most renown venues around the World, such as: Glastonbury in the UK, Burning Man in the USA, then Roskilde in Denmark, the Rototom Sunsplash in Spain, Universo Paralello in Brazil, Rebirth in Japan, Rainbow Serpent in Australia, Shambala in Canada, at the Geza Pyramids in Egypt, at the Coliseum in Italy, Hill Top in India, Sticky Jam in Russia, AUM in New Zealand, Envision in Costarica, Indian Spirit in Germany, Ozora in Hungary, Boom in Portugal, Tribal Gathering in Panama and many more.

Now, a decade later, Gaudi keeps donning his genre-blending boots and steps out with his new live trio, the GAUDI Cosmic Dub Trio, an ensemble of top caliber musicians that not only bring their stand-alone talents to the live performance, but also come with the experience of years of live activity.

Their sound is not easy to encapsulate in just one word, it’s a cross-over texture that could be best described as ‘hypnotic dub meets krautrock meets psychedelic-electronica meets the late 70s Italian Afro movement’.
The bass player is Colin Edwin of Porcupine Tree, he has toured the world multiple times filling stadiums and concert halls with his legendary “psychedelic prog-rock” band, he is a true powerhouse and considered by many to be one of the best living bass players in the World.

The guitarist is De Palma of Loungedelic and Alix, an accomplished musician with his signature sound of “space-rock / dub”, using vintage effect pedals to create his unique sonic texture. Dub-master Gaudi completes the trio with his trademark analogue setup and the addition of an extra mixer on stage, the nerve center to which each musician is connected, allowing him to dub every instrument ‘on the fly’ and improvise new arrangements for every song throughout the show, consisting of a repertoire of tracks from his 19 studio albums, re-arranged with an unforgiving ‘hi- octane’ attitude, for a unique experience described by punters as “a live show not to be missed!”.
